MAD The Fun Dog Club

We are pleased to sponsor MAD The Fun Dog Club who are a great bunch of people and supporters of Skinner's.

At the CLA Game Fair they competed daily in the Working Dog Ring against a team from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. It was an interesting and exciting display showing how ordinary pet owners can have fun with their dogs. All of the 'exercises' were displayed in a fun manner with both the handler and the dog playing an active role.

It shows how easily fun and exercise can be combined, without the need for expensive or specialist equipment. For example, "Fly Bowl" used an empty dog bowl and a tennis ball and was demonstrated as a relay race with the dog sitting at the start line, the handler running to the bowl and placing the tennis ball in it, the handler running back to the start line and then the dog sent to fetch and retrieve the tennis ball back to the handler.

Pictured below is the team who competed at the CLA Game Fair.

They are also holding a "Have a Go Dog Show" at Scarisbrick Village Hall, Scarisbrick, Southport on Sunday 15th August from 11am. This is charity event raising funds for 'The Chernobyl Childrens Lifeline' Sefton Link and they are hoping to raise £500 which is enough to give one child a holiday for one month here in the UK.

Please go along and support them if you can.
