This year, we were proud to sponsor the Kennel Club’s International Agility Festival. Competitors from all over the world travelled to be at the event, with over 3,100 dogs who attended with their handlers.
Held at Rockingham Castle, the event was due to take place on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of August. Unfortunately, due to extreme weather conditions, most of the events had to be cancelled on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th; the safety of both dogs and handlers were the Kennel Club’s top priority. However, handlers competing in the Olympia Agility Stakes quarter and semi-finals were still able to participate; due to a last-minute relocation to the nearby Rutland Showground. Giving competitors the opportunity to secure a place for the important competition held at Olympia in December.
All was returned to normal on Sunday 11th August, where successful dogs and their handlers would qualify for the British Open Final, which will be held at Crufts 2020.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the Festival was enjoyed by many; with competitors travelling from as far as Australia.
We were proud to sponsor the festival and give our congratulations to all the winners and competitors. We were also incredibly impressed by the commitment and dedication displayed by the competitors.
