Which types of dog is this food suitable for?

  • Any dog that has a reduced activity level meaning they might be predisposed to weight gain: e.g. Senior dogs, “dieting” dogs, greedy dogs who benefit from larger meals of reduced energy density, dogs with musculoskeletal issues meaning their physical activity is reduced
  • Dogs requiring a diet lower in key nutrients (protein, fat, purines)

Why should you choose Light & Senior for your dog?

  • Honeycombed, oval kibble shape to aid in feelings of “fullness” and can prolong eating behaviour which may help to reduce hunger associated behaviours
  • Less energy dense than other diets, meaning larger meals can be fed to aid feelings of “fullness”
  • Reduced protein and fat levels to support weight loss and ongoing weight maintenance
  • If your dog has a reduced activity level and is starting to look a little portly
  • Light and senior is a complete diet, supplying all the nutrients your dog needs to be happy and healthy while having a reduced level of key nutrients that might encourage weight gain
  • Contains enhanced levels of glucosamine and chondroitin to support joint health
  • Linseed and sunflower oil provides valuable essential fatty acids for coat and skin condition, even in a fat reduced diet!
  • Low purine levels (40mg/100g) which can be beneficial to dogs needing a restricted purine intake
  • Includes highly digestible chicken
  • Wheat gluten free formulation

Skinner’s Puppy Packs are available free of charge to breeders who use and recommend Skinner’s foods. When your puppies are ready to leave for their new homes we supply you with a Puppy Pack for each of them to give to their new owner. Only available to breeders registered on our Scheme.

How it works

  1. Sign up to Skinner’s Puppy Pack Scheme. Simply fill in the registration form, detailing litter size, breed, weaning food and whelping date.
  2. Once we have received notification and approved your registration we will send you your puppy packs. Puppy Pack should be given to the new owner of a pup.
  3. When a puppy has left your care to go to a new home, use the puppy sold form, tell us about the lucky new owner and which Skinner’s food it has been weaned on.
